About Us
Theresa Buchheister is a director, writer, producer, performer and curator from Manhattan, KS who has lived in New York for 20 years. They currently operate as Artistic Director of The Brick and Brick Aux (Williamsburg experimental performance venues), The Exponential Festival (Brooklyn-wide January experimental performance festival), and Title:Point (weird little theater company). Buchheister also curates ?!:New Works, a works-in-progress gathering for all performance mediums. They ran Vital Joint for four years, which was home to a veritable slew of alt comedy, weird dance, strange film, and more. They were a part of DIY Bushwick performance venue Silent Barn for four years and The Ontological in St. Marks Church for 10 years. Buchheister makes a living doing voice over work, directing, and voicing cartoons, audiobooks and podcasts (BoyGirlDogCatMouseCheese, Pokemon, How Music Works, The Perks of Being a Wallflower, Arrow of Time, RecursiveCast, etc).
Julia Greer is an actor, producer and Artistic Director of The Hearth Theater Company. Through her company, she has produced NYTimes Critics Pick Athena by Gracie Gardner, EVENTS by Bailey Williams, RACECAR RACECAR RACECAR by Kallan Dana, happy life by Kathy Ng, brainsmash by Sophie Weisskoff, The Commons by Lily Akerman and For Annie by Beth Hyland at theaters big and small across NYC and Brooklyn (59E59 Theaters, ART/NY, The Brick, JACK, Walkerspace and more). She also built out the mission of the company and additionally programs, facilitates and fundraises for workshops, readings and retreats. She began her career assisting writers on Broadway and Broadway-bound productions including Paula Vogel, Cameron Crowe, Jason Kim and David Adjmi, independently producing plays off and off-off Broadway and working in the artistic, marketing and development departments of theaters such as Young Jean Lee’s Theater Company, The Civilians, Transport Group, La Jolla Playhouse and ACT Theater in Seattle. Bailey Williams is a producer and playwright who has lived in New York City for 15 years. She started her career as an Associate Agent for AOI Agency, which represented artists, directors and designers such as Young Jean Lee, Jackie Sibblies Drury, Tina Satter, Lisa D’Amour, and many more. She began working as an independent producer in 2015. With experience ranging from small theater nonprofits (Target Margin, Abrons Arts Center, The New Ohio Theater) to digital media (Scruff, WaitWhat) to corporate events (Advertising Week), Bailey has general production know-how and an in-depth understanding of the off- and off-off Broadway ecosystems. Bailey is also a frequent self-producer of her own work, which has been featured in The New York Times, The New Yorker, The Brooklyn Rail, and 3Views on Theater. She is currently a producer at Exponential Festival.
